NAAYII'ĘĘ'

In 2025, I participated in an archaeological field school at the Carpenter Site (Naayii’ęę’) near Delta Junction, Alaska. This experience let me move beyond the classroom and build hands-on skills in excavation, documentation, artifact recovery, and archaeological field methods while contributing to ongoing research on early human occupation in Interior Alaska. Working as part of a collaborative field crew strengthened my practical archaeological skills and deepened my interest in the region’s archaeology, lithic technologies, and digital approaches to documenting the past. My time at the Carpenter site helped shape my research interests and the direction I hope to pursue in archaeology and digital heritage, and I also created a video of our crew's time at the site to share with the community and the college.
