BEHIND THE
PERSPECTIVE
Brooke is an archaeologist who studied at the University of Alaska Anchorage, specializing in archaeology and digital heritage, with much of her work focused on Interior Alaska. Her interests center on how people interacted with changing landscapes, including environments shaped by glacial systems, ancient lakes, and shifting terrain.
Her work brings archaeology and emerging technology together to document, interpret, and share the past in new ways. She uses 3D modeling, photogrammetry, GIS, 3D scanning, and virtual reality to document archaeological materials, reconstruct past landscapes, and create immersive approaches to cultural heritage interpretation.
Brooke is particularly interested in developing digital tools and workflows that support archaeological research, preservation, visualization, and public access while creating meaningful ways for people to connect with the past.
